No setup, no browser extension required. Paste a link and get a structured technology profile in seconds.
Enter a URL
Paste any public website URL — a competitor, a client site, or your own production page.
webcop inspects the signals
The scanner checks headers, JavaScript bundles, meta tags, cookies, and DOM patterns in a headless browser.
Get a structured stack report
See detected technologies with confidence scores, versions, and categories ready to revisit or share.
Detection
What we inspect on every scan
Each scan loads the target in a headless browser and matches public signals against 7,500+ technology fingerprints.
HTTP response headers
Server software, CDN identifiers, security headers, cache policies, and framework-specific headers like X-Powered-By.
JavaScript and CSS assets
Script URLs, bundle patterns, and library signatures for frameworks, analytics SDKs, chat widgets, and more.
HTML meta and link tags
Generator tags, Open Graph sources, canonical URLs, and stylesheet references that reveal CMS and builder tools.
Cookies and local storage
Session cookies, analytics IDs, and storage keys that map to known platforms and marketing tools.
DOM structure
Class names, data attributes, and embedded iframes that fingerprint page builders, forms, and embeds.
Network and hosting hints
IP ranges, SSL certificate issuers, and DNS patterns that point to hosting providers and CDNs.
Results grouped by category
Scan through a report in seconds instead of sorting through a flat unordered list.

7,500+ fingerprints
Frameworks, CMS, CDN, analytics, security tools, hosting, commerce, and more from a broad detection dataset.
Web, CLI, and extension
Scan from the dashboard, terminal, or browser context with one credit balance across every surface.
REST API access
Automate scans in CI/CD, enrich lead records, or add stack detection to internal tools.

FAQ
Common questions
How is this different from opening DevTools?+
DevTools shows raw page source and network requests — you still have to know what to look for. webcop runs those signals through a maintained fingerprint database and returns structured matches with confidence scores, versions, and categories.
What counts as one credit?+
One credit = one completed scan of one URL. Re-scanning the same URL later uses another credit. Credits never expire, and failed scans caused by our infrastructure are refunded.
Can I scan sites behind a login?+
No. webcop only scans publicly accessible URLs. Private networks, localhost, and internal IPs are blocked at the SSRF validation layer before a scan starts.
Do you store the pages you scan?+
We store the scan result — detected technology names, confidence scores, and metadata like final URL and duration. We don't keep page HTML, screenshots, or visitor data from the target site.
Where does the fingerprint data come from?+
The detection engine uses the Wappalyzer technology dataset — the same open-source fingerprint collection used across the industry, with 7,500+ entries and regular updates.
Is there a free tier?+
Yes. New accounts get 5 credits on sign-up, no credit card required. After that you buy credit packs — see the pricing page for current rates.
